Wow. As if it hasn't been an exciting year already in the wonderful world of News. With the presidential election coming up in the not too distant future, people of the United States have been vigorously stuck to their couches, watching the 11 o'clock news. Little did they know, that 193 sneaky little countries were all contributing on a joint mix-tape.
When South Sudan entered into the United Nations in July of 2014, it was clear they had one goal in mind, and would do anything to get the job done. Slowly they convinced the elites from around the world to begin collaborating on what is called "the best music of the century". When Sam Kutesa, the General Assembly President, was interviewed he was asked about the mix-tape. He said "It's gonna blow your socks right on off, then put them back on you again, just to take them right back off ya". Whatever that means, it's clear this mix-tape is one of the true forms of art we will see in our generation. Featuring over 50 tracks, and including over 20 different languages, the mix-tape seems to be a hit across the globe. It was released late sunday night, and the United Nations claims it will only be available for a 24 hour period, because they "worked so hard on it they want it all for themselves" as Kutesa would add later in the interview. Get the mixtape while you can available on Apple Music and Amazon.
