Sunday night in Mo-town the crowds gathered in from across the state of Michigan to watch the Lions take on Peyton Manning and the Denver Broncos. Through out much of the first half it was a defensive battle between the two teams. The First quarter ended at 0-0, and the score was 14-6 Broncos as half. Just before the Second quarter ended Peyton Manning lobbed up a 45 yard Touchdown pass to Demaryius Thomas. This score proved to be crucial in such a low scoring affair.

The second dagger of the game came from Peyton Manning once again with just under 2 and a half minutes to play in the Fourth, another Touchdown pass, this one to TE Owen Daniels. Daniels, who was acquired in the offseason from the Ravens, along with Offensive Coordinator Gary Kubiak could be an important part of the Denver offense as the season moves along.
Once again this week for the Lions Matt Stafford struggled in the first half, and was indecisive with the ball. His first half performance was followed with an even worse second half including a total of 3 turnovers. His most crucial turnover came off an interception at mid field during the fourth quarter. If the Lions are to make any sort of turn around this season, a lot of work needs to be put into the Offensive Line and Quarterback position.
